A fire broke out at Andorra’s national stadium on the eve of a World Cup qualifying match against England, Sky Sports reported on Friday.
Sky posted videos showing the TV broadcast booth on the side of the stadium, which sits in the middle of the two teams’ seats, and fires ignite with columns of thick black smoke.
No injuries were reported, but the fire raised concerns that the game would be affected as the fire was located next to the synthetic turf pitch.
Sky said firefighters had arrived at the stadium to put out the flames, but the cabin was badly damaged, which could affect television coverage of the match.
England players trained in the 3,300-seater stadium just three hours before the fire broke out. The cause of the fire was not immediately clear.
