This easy recipe for egg cutlets will help you whip up a delicious snack that will make your chai even tastier.
Egg Cutlet is a South Indian snack recipe from the Malabar Coast of Kerala. Hard-boiled eggs are prepared in a spicy potato-based masala that is coated in breadcrumbs and deep-fried for delicious, crunchy eggs. You will get the spicy flavors of the coast in a delicious snack.
How to make egg chops:
Prepare a masala by heating the coconut oil and adding the onion, ginger, garlic, green peppers, curry leaves, salt, pepper and garam masala.
Cut the hard-boiled eggs in half and remove the yolk.
Incorporate the egg yolks, the potatoes boiled in the masala. Add the coriander leaves and salt, knead them well with your fingers. Make small balls with the filling and place them in the egg white.
Mix the raw yolk with the turmeric powder, red chili powder and salt. Dip each egg in this mixture and roll them in breadcrumbs. Fry the coated eggs until they turn golden.
Serve these delicious egg chops with ketchup and the kids will love this snack!
