An all-female referee team will referee England’s World Cup qualifiers against Andorra on Saturday.
Ukrainian Katerina Monzul will lead the match, assisted by compatriots Marina Streltska and Svetlana Grushko.
Experienced French referee Stéphanie Frapard will be in charge of the VAR system in the Group I match, making it the first time that an England men’s national team has been played at international level with a female referee.
Two male referees will also appear in this match, Denis Schurmann, the fourth official, and his Ukrainian, Viktor Matyash, who helps set up the VAR system.
Monzol refereed a UEFA Nations League match between San Marino and Gibraltar in November last year, becoming one of the first all-female teams to referee a men’s match at the international level.
Monzul made history in 2016 when she became the first female referee in Ukraine to officiate a top tier match in the men’s competition.
