Amir Tawfik, director of contracts and marketing at Al-Ahly of Egypt, confirmed that South African coach Pitso Mosimane will remain in his post until the end of his contract, after a session he held with club officials.
Tawfiq said in statements on Al-Ahly’s official website Wednesday that it had been agreed to complete the current contract which ends at the end of the 2021-2022 season without any changes to the coach’s salary, and Pizzo did not ask for any increase.
He added that Al-Ahly is committed to continuing his mission because of his belief in his abilities and his ability to realize the aspirations of the club and his fans in the next step, and Musimani himself has expressed his happiness in working at Al-Ahly and his desire to end his career with the team.
Tawfiq explained that the session, which took place in a friendly atmosphere, also witnessed a positive dialogue on some future issues, and there was great understanding between the two sides, and it was agreed to resolve all of these issues by the end of the current Contract.
Musimani had coached Al-Ahly at the end of September last year, after he managed to lead the team to crown the African Champions League title twice in the 2020 and 2021 editions, and won once the Egyptian Cup and the African Supercup.
