Chinese company Honor is preparing to launch its first foldable phones, as it has the same design as the Huawei Mate X2 phone that was launched before the two companies split.
A new report released by GSMarena shows that Honor will be putting its first foldable phone in the Honor Magic family of phones, bearing the name “Honor Magic X”.
The new phone is expected to officially hit the market in the fourth quarter of this year, making it the third foldable phone to hit the market, after the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Z Fold 3.
This comes in light of US attempts to blacklist the Honor company name, along with Huawei, as there are divisions within the US administration over the move.
Honor’s inclusion on the US ban list poses an explicit threat to its future in the global telephony market. If the ban is implemented, Honor phones will be denied the benefit of US products or products manufactured with US production components, especially processors. , as well as the Android operating system.
